just thinking about how easily we can get distracted

Just thinking about how easily we can get distracted and misread our circumstances, and how Jesus is always the gate to the right perspective, and how he says not to worry, because aren’t the flowers and the grass beautiful, and they don’t even care. And if they are like that, how much bigger is our capacity for provision and beauty? And how he is the good shepherd, giving us the freedom to come and go, and green pastures. And not to worry or fear or be jealous or play it safe. How it’s all so very wide open. And requires faith. And progressively, incrementally, more faith. And how Jesus is the goal. The beginning, the end, the process. He is with and in and blowing through. Perfect love. Irrepressible freedom. Freshness and purity and brightness and clarity. And how everything loses its meaning when not seen through Him. The gate. I have to remind myself…

“The people who influence us most are not those who buttonhole us and talk to us, but those who live their lives like the stars in heaven and the lilies in the field, perfectly simply and unaffectedly. Those are the lives that mold us. If you want to be of use to God, get rightly related to Jesus Christ and He will make you of use unconsciously every minute you live.” -Oswald Chambers
Jesus is the dirt and I am a lily. If I just remain in him, (and why is this so hard!?) how easy to grow and inspire and refresh!
And see Matthew 6:25-34
